Hey there, Reader.
In my first blog I would like to introduce myself my name is Annette. I am a 55-year-old grandmother originally from Manitoulin Island, Ontario.
I am from the Odawa tribe, from the Sheshegwaning First Nation.
My kids are all grown, and two of them have kids of their own.
I was born in Little Current, Ontario, Canada. When I was around 12, my dad took me and moved to Newberry, Michigan, and then to Boulder, Montana.
I got my first job at around 15. I would wash dishes at the bowling alley for cigarette money. Got my first full-time job at Harvey’s (or Arby’s?) in Helena, Montana, where I got my first apartment. After that was a housekeeping job.
Had my kids, worked, they grew up, and moved out. I developed panic attacks around 12 years ago and have been battling anxiety disorders and struggling to make ends meet since then. I’ll be going deeper into these things later, but that’s a bit about me for now.
